Did you know that more attention should be paid taking care of false eyelashes in the winter months and therefore also when spending time in the mountains? Cold and dry air can cause natural eyelashes to break, while snow and rain can cause them to loosen and then fall out together with the false eyelashes. And this will certainly not make your clients' winter holidays more pleasant.
That's why I'll tell you how to get rid of the above-mentioned issues, whether your customers are enjoying walks in the winter landscape or skiing enthusiastically on slopes covered with newly fallen snow. If they follow these tips conscientiously during their winter fun, they will significantly extend the time their lashes stay in perfect condition. So share your newfound information with them as soon as possible after reading this article.

7 tips to make false lashes last longer in winter
Quality material - It probably won't surprise you to learn that false lashes made from top materials and with high flexibility have less tendency to warp, flatten and curl. This is even considering the sudden changes in temperature outside - often dropping well below freezing - and in overheated rooms.
Waterproof adhesive - Strong winds and snow that falls and melts on eyelashes can cause them to fall out. But only if you didn't use a professional waterproof glue when applying them. From my own experience, I would recommend UV glue because it achieves the best retention of false eyelashes. So if you don't already have a UV lamp in your salon, definitely get one. You and your customers will be thrilled with the results.
Shorter lashes - Why? Because short lashes mean less stress on the natural lashes and better retention in challenging conditions. You can choose lower volume lashes - 2D and 3D, or narrower 5D and 6D in 0.05mm or 0.03mm. But you can also make do with individual eyelashes lash to lash - Cashmere. For example, if your customer's natural eyelashes are damaged or too fine.
Hydration - Natural eyelashes are at risk of drying out, breaking and fraying in the winter, which will shorten the life of the false ones as well. Your customers can easily avoid this problem by using a hydrating and nourishing eyelash extension serum. Just be sure to warn them that they shouldn't put any other serum on their lashes, especially not an oil-based one. It is the oil-based serums that tend to significantly reduce the longevity of the glue and accelerate the shedding of the false eyelashes.
Ski goggles and sunglasses are a must - Long eyelashes can fall out during brisk sporting activities. The same goes for falls, longer trips, wiping snow off your face and other situations. That's why your clients should always wear ski goggles or sunglasses when out in the mountains to prevent lash loss.
Careful Cleaning - Remind your clients that they should gently brush through their lashes not only in the morning and evening, but also after every skiing or snowboarding session. They should also remember to cleanse regularly with a special cleansing foam.
Sauna? - After a physically strenuous day on the slopes, there is perhaps nothing more pleasant than getting into the sauna and letting your stiff muscles relax. But with false lashes, your customers can forget about it. Moisture, high temperature and sweat are factors that false lashes don't get along with at all.
Have you followed the first three points when extending your clients' lashes and educated them on the remaining four? Then there is nothing left to do but wish them a wonderful holiday and trust that they will actually follow my recommendations while having their winter fun.
