Have you ever had a client advise you on which type of lashes to choose for her? I'm sure you've had the experience of your client dreaming up the type, length and thickness of her lashes and then having to ditch all the vision. In our article, we'll show you how to work with our clusters to make sure your client's eye always looks perfect.
What to focus on?
First of all, it is necessary to clarify what result the client wants on her eyelashes. Just a light highlight? Thick and long? Unfortunately, not every option suits everyone, so it's great to know what she wants, but at the same time try to give her the best advice possible. That way, you'll get somewhere in the middle of what she needs and achieve a compromise that's just right for her. Properly chosen eyelashes can do more than full-glam make-up, and on the contrary, eyelashes that don't flatter her eye will "kill" even the most beautiful look. So you also need to choose the right fans for the final result.
The first (and ultimately the main) point is to know her eye shape. Again, if you are not 100% sure that what the client has chosen is right, try to discuss it with her first.
Reading Tip:
Curves you must know
Distinguish between the basic 5 shapes to learn what lashes will be best for your clients. These include almond, deep-set, droopy-lidded, Asian and round.
Almond shape
A large part of our population has these eyes. They are very symmetrical eyes, lower in height than in width. They are not bulging and have a large space on the lids for shadows or liners. They are in high demand not only for make-up artists, as they are really easy and beautiful to apply, but also for you mascara artists - here you don't have to worry about what lashes to choose. Practically everything suits them.
Our tip: If you try gradually thickening and lengthening lashes, you can achieve the effect worn by Megan Fox, for example. If you choose lashes that cross over each other and are longer in the middle, you'll have the Kim Kardashian-like lash styling. So choose some of our volumising lashes and go for it.
Deep set
The eyebrows play a dominant role here. The arch of the eyebrows is pronounced in such eyes, or the eyebrows themselves are very thick. Here you have to pay attention to the density of the eyelashes so that the eyes do not look even more sunken and smaller than they really are. Thinner, not so much added eyelashes are what will open up the client's view. Combined with a brightened inner corner, you will achieve a more open look that will soften her gaze.
Remember that quality tools are essential to a quality result - tweezers, glue or primer should always be on hand and of TOP quality.

Droopy eyelids
These eyes are something of a nightmare for make-up artists. They are difficult to work with, the shadows aren't visible and you have to be careful not only when applying the lashes. However, long folded lashes are in demand here to cover this little beauty flaw. So don't be afraid to go all out.
Our tip: Concentrate your lashes in the outer corner. This will open up an eye that looks slightly sad even when you laugh.
Asian type
Monolid - Smaller eyes that are just crying out to be highlighted. The problem here is that often the natural lashes are straight and hard to grip. But what's the advantage? You can play around with more lash length, because this type of eye is calling for it. And their other advantage? To keep the eye from getting lost, all you need is a light makeup application and you're done. All in all, long, bold lashes and smoky makeup don't go together in such a small space.
Round shape
Pronounced and round eyes have the problem that they can sometimes appear bulging. Eyelashes thickened at the eye line are a great help to make them visually smaller. Opt for shorter and thicker lashes. Ideally, choose a slightly longer version at the outer corner of the eye. If you want to make the eye a little smaller and give it a little more shape, don't be afraid to line the inner side of the eye on the lower lash line. It will visually close the eye.
Our tip: Dark eyeshadow and bold liner are more than allowed.

In the end, it's definitely up to your sense and skill as to what you dare to go for, but a few pointers to help you make your first choice certainly can't hurt. And the last piece of advice? Don't forget that even eyelash extensions need to be cleaned - so try our cleansing foam, which is a must-have in any kit.
