Hydrating serum - 3rd step of lash lifting and eyebrow lamination

A professional lash lift or eyebrow lamination ends with the application of a moisturizing serum. This performs a double function: it removes gel glue and tinting products from the natural lashes and eyebrows and also nourishes the lashes. The serum also contains herbal extracts that have anti-inflammatory properties and help soothe the skin. The serum is made in England and is fully compatible with other liquids you will need for a lash lift.

Product description

3 things you should know about the hydrating serum

1. Is the hydrating serum used both for lash lifting and for eyebrow lamination?

Yes, exactly - use the hydrating serum for both procedures.

Lash lifting

First, clean the lashes with the cleansing foam. Then use glue or glue balm to attach them onto a curler. Then use a microbrush to apply the lifting cream (step 1) starting 2 mm from the roots to the middle of their length (never apply all the way to the endings) and let it work. In the next step, apply the neutralising cream (step 2) to the same area. The whole procedure is finished by applying a moisturising serum (step 3). Between steps 2 and 3, i.e. between the neutralizing cream and the moisturizing serum, you can also tint the lashes for a stronger effect.

Are you interested in the detailed procedure including the exact timing? Read "The complete lash lift guide" on our blog. For comprehensive training, check out the courses section and choose the one you would be most interested in.

Lash lifting is suitable for clients who:

  • have down growing natural eyelashes,
  • don't want or can't have false eyelashes
  • want their lashes to look perfect with minimal effort.

To ensure that the final result lasts as long as possible, it is a good to instruct the client on how to properly care for their lift lashes. You can also recommend our keratin serum and our lash botox, which both have very positive effects on the lashes.

Eyebrow lamination

First, clean the eyebrows with the cleansing foam, use a brush to create desired shape and fixate with adhesive. Apply the lifting cream and let it work. In the next step, apply the neutralising cream to the same area. The whole procedure is finished by applying a moisturising serum. Between steps 2 and 3, i.e. between the neutralizing cream and the moisturizing serum, you can also tint the eyebrows.

If you are unclear about brow lamination, check out our blog article "How to do brow lamination?" or check out our courses section.

Eyebrow Lamination is suitable for clients who:

  • have sparse or, on the contrary, thick but unruly eyebrows,
  • are unwilling or unable to have their eyebrows tattooed or microbladed,
  • but also want groomed eyebrows with glossy hairs

3. How to store the hydrating serum?

One package of the moisturizing serum is enough for 4 clients. But in order for the serum to have the right properties, think about its proper storage. Once opened, you can reseal the bag with tape. Store and use a properly sealed package within 7 days of opening.

3. What substances does the moisturizing serum contain and what are their effects on eyelashes and eyebrows?

  •     Panthenol - penetrates the cortex of the hair shaft inside the eyelashes and eyebrows and helps repair any damage.
  •     Hyaluronic Acid - hydrates and nourishes the lashes and brows.
  •     Mussel extracts - helps detangle hairs and keeps them evenly separated.
  •     Aloe vera - promotes smoothness and shine to lashes and brows.
  •     Extracts of rosemary, chamomile, arnica and apricot - these herbs have anti-inflammatory properties and soothe irritation

Safety notice:

A skin sensitivity test should be performed prior to the lash lifting or eyebrow lamination (approximately 24-48 hours before the appointment). If there is irritation, swelling or inflammation of the skin, explain to the client that it is not a good idea to proceed with the lash lift or lamination. If the result is negative, and therefore if the product does not cause any skin reaction, you can apply these techniques without any problem.
